Overview

The commission covered Nike office locations across Europe, including Nike HQ in the Netherlands and offices in Barcelona and Gdańsk. The work focused on capturing detailed spatial data with 360° camera technology and transforming that information into a structured asset register.

Approximately 36,000 m² was surveyed across the three locations within a compressed international programme — the first time the delivery team had used 360° camera technology for this type of surveying work.

Personal role

On-site survey delivery across all three countries, 360° data capture, processing of captured information into a structured asset register, and coordination of an accelerated multi-site programme while establishing a new technology-led workflow.

Scope of work
  • Survey three international Nike locations totalling approximately 36,000 m²
  • Capture detailed visual data using 360° camera technology
  • Review and process captured information into a structured asset register
  • Introduce and prove a new 360° data-capture workflow under live programme pressure
  • Deliver a consistent digital record of identified assets across all sites
Challenges
  • Delivering approximately 36,000 m² across three countries within around two weeks demanded tight planning and rapid adaptation to each site.
  • International logistics and first-time overseas delivery had to be managed without compromising survey standards or programme.
  • 360° camera technology was new to the company’s surveying process, so a workable workflow had to be developed while still meeting client requirements.
Outcome
  • Surveys were completed across all three international locations within the approximately two-week programme.
  • 360° imagery created a detailed digital record of the surveyed spaces and underpinned the required asset register.
  • The commission demonstrated 360° capture as an efficient method for large commercial spaces and established a foundation for using the technology on future projects.
